"Trick or Treat so Others Can Eat" Downtown Woodland's Halloween Celebration and Can Food Drive
Event: Saturday, October 29, 2016 Location: Downtown Woodland - Main St. between Third St. & Elm St. Event Time: 3PM-5PM Costume Contest 5PM-6PM, Heritage Plaza
Trick or Treat so Others Can Eat, a Halloween celebration and Can Food Drive to benefit the Yolo Food Bank takes place in Downtown Woodland on Saturday, October 29th. This event includes traditional "Trick or Treating" down Main Street with the new addition of kid friendly events from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. presented by downtown merchants and the Historic Woodland Downtown Business Association. Families are welcome to engage in dancing, haunts, and magic in exchange for a small cash or can food donation, one donation per person, for entry into all of the special events, Trevor the Magician Magic Show inside the Woodland Opera House, Kids Dance Party with DJ Robb at the former Woodland Travel Agency, 524 Main St., and the Kid Friendly Haunted House at United Way, 716 Main St. The annual Costume Contest in Heritage Plaza will take place from 5 p.m. to 6 pm., offering kids and families an opportunity to win prizes sponsored by SorD Boardshop. Trick or Treat so Others Can Eat takes place within the street closure of downtown Main St. between Third St. and Elm St. with bounce houses, kids activities, and more.
