Warm yourself up and visit downtown Woodland during the First Friday Art Walk hosted February 3rd in Downtown Woodland between 5:30 P.M.-9:30 P.M. Many local shops and restaurants will be open later with artist receptions and live music on February 3rd.
Natural Rhythm, paintings of Adele Shaw offers a show exploring the emotions, energy, and spirit of water. The show opens February 3 at YoloArts' Gallery 625 with an artist reception 6 - 8 p.m., Friday, February 3, and a special member preview will be held from 5-6 p.m. and will include a presentation by Shaw. Shaw has an extensive resumé and has been an exhibitor in numerous group and solo exhibitions on the east and west coasts. A native of New Jersey, Shaw has lived in California since 1989. She has been a selected artist in residence at the California Palace of the Legion of Honor in 2003, and has twice been a guest artist (2005 and 2009) there.
Corner Drug Company kicks off their first live music performance of the year with The Tropicali Flames from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. Farmer's Insurance, 705 Main St., Lindsey Miguel and Nick Daskalos of Woodland's Urban Soul Yoga Studio demonstrate Acrovinyasa yoga poses with a special reception hosted starting at 5:30pm. Next door at Uvaggio at 703 Main St., local craftsperson Natasha Zuwala offers hats, scarves, and other crocheted pieces for purchase. Around the corner at Blue Note Brewing Company, 750 Dead Cat Alley, watercolor artist Felicia and art by Dana Posh are displayed. Nearby at Savory Cafe, 722 Main St., the drone photography by Mark Jones is hosted with a meet the artist reception.
