Downtown Woodland First Friday Art Walk June 3, 2016

During this First Friday Art Walk live art and music performances on the street welcome the public to downtown Woodland in addition to several artist receptions hosted at various locations.

A variety of art exhibitions and live music is scheduled for the evening.

Here are some of the attractions: 
Blue Wing Gallery, 405 Main St., photography by Susan Lord Bovey with a meet the artist reception starting at 6 p.m.
Kevin Cowan Financial Services, 426 Main St., presents the abstract paintings of Davis artist Thelma Waterford.
Poppies Gallery, 510 Main St., featured artist Cerri Noto will exhibit her reclaimed wood sculptures, Folk Art Folkz with light refreshments available until 9 p.m.
Sweet Potato Pie, 528 Main St., face painting and henna tattoos will be offered to the public by Emma Knight.
Main Street Music Center, 527 Main St., starting at 6 p.m. the public is welcome to play to on the community piano outside the shop, painted by local artist Kent Smith.
K and M floral and Interior Plant Design, 537 Main St., a group exhibition by various artists is hosted until 9 p.m.

Over at BlackPine Catering & Events, 422 First St., starting at 6 p.m. Mark Jones “Perspectives” exhibition featuring aerial photography and sample bites from their catering menu will be offered.   

Nearby at Mojo’s/Kitchen 428, 428 First St., art by Doug Souza is shown in the lounge.
Morgan’s on Main, 614 Main St., a patio performance by Manzanita Music is hosted starting at 6 p.m., reservations are recommended. 
Savory Café, 722 Main St., the Historic Woodland Downtown Business Association presents Roadhouse 5 on the patio, performing classic rock, country, and Latin inspired music 6 to 8p.m.
Farmers Insurance, 705 Main St., silkscreen artist Roberto Paniagua will offer a live silkscreen demonstration and display his art starting at 6 p.m. 

At Blue Note Brewing Company,750 Dead Cat Alley, paintings by artist Cassandra Ellis.
Uvaggio, 703 Main St., wine inspired paintings and painted glassware by Gitta Barth.   
Gallery 625, 625 Court St. Wake Up Call Yolo - An Exhibition by YoloArts Teaching Artists & their Students, featuring the work of Maceo Montoya, Tomas Montoya, YaYa Porras, and Mellissa Uroff and art from students at Cesar Chavez Community School and the Yolo County Juvenile Hall exhibition.  The reception begins at 5:30 p.m. with a Blues in the Schools performance and poetry reading at 6:30 p.m.

Additional receptions will be hosted at various locations with some downtown businesses offering extended business hours during First Friday.
